Kern River Tubing

Update on the Kern River: We’re sad to say that rafting and inner tubing season has officially ended for 2015.

Tubing on the Kern River is the surest way to have fun and keep cool during our hot summer months in the Kern River Valley. Come by our shop in Kernville to get set up with everything you need to spend a day out on the Kern River. We’re just three hours away from Los Angeles and only an hour from Bakersfield. In the warmer months, the runoff from the snow melt on Mount Whitney combines with the flow of the Kern River, creating a series of rapids that eventually give way to a placid lake. SoCal Rafting provides guided tubing trips starting in June when the water levels are safest for tubing adventures.

Our flagship, trademarked trip, Pasadena Paddle Tubing®, is a two hour trip where we supply all the gear you need, guides to help the trip go smoothly, and free shuttles to continue the fun throughout the day!

Zorb ball Kern River

When the tubing season picks up, we bring out our famous Zorb Ball. This is another SoCal Rafting exclusive, and something that is definitely an eye-catcher out on the water. The Zorb Ball is basically a twelve foot blow-up hamster ball that allows those inside to run across water, performing amphibious feats that hamsters can only dream about. Tubing and Zorbing go hand in hand so ask our reservationist about the special offers we have for these trips.

Check out our links in the menu for more info and to book your trip in advance! We hope to see you this summer!
